Dear All,
It is our pleasure to announce the CernVM Workshop 2022, which will take place from 12 September to 14 September 2022 at Nikhef, Amsterdam!
We are very happy to plan for a workshop with physical presence again to get the most out of three, hopefully intense workshop days. The CernVM workshop takes place in the week of the September Grid Deployment Board (GDB) in Amsterdam, so that you’d be able to visit both events with a single trip. Of course, there will also be the option of remote participation to the CernVM workshop.
The CernVM workshop aims at bringing together users and developers to discuss the latest developments, use cases and future directions of the CernVM File System and the CernVM appliance. This time, we would like to put a focus on pushing CernVM-FS scalability limits both on the client and the server side in the light of the expected software distribution load from the HL-LHC experiments.
As usual, we will also invite external contributions from outside HEP in order to broaden our view on application delivery in industry and academia.
The preliminary web page of the workshop is available at
The registration and call for abstracts are now open! To help the planning, we would appreciate it if those intending to attend could register and submit their abstracts before 1 June 2022. We would also appreciate it if you could share this announcement to potentially interested colleagues. For questions or comments, please contact us at
